If you are an internet marketer, it goes without saying that this is one of your top priorities. We may have spent sleepless nights in the past wondering how to get people to visit our websites.
Well, we have our buddies, the good old search engines, to help us out. But, unfortunately, they are a bit fussy and we need to follow their rules strictly if we want their help. I don’t blame them, as they are being fussy only to prevent abuse and misuse.
Next, we need to provide excellent web content, firstly to satisfy our visitors and at the same time, we need to use keywords to enable the search engines to find our website.
There are so many ways of obtaining good content and so that’s not a problem for most of us. Well, the story may be slightly different in respect of using the right keywords which is called SEO or search engine optimization.
For some, SEO may be a piece of cake and for others, a constant nightmare. What I am trying to do here is to alleviate the headaches for those who are not doing too well with SEO.
Other than through search engines, how can we bring those elusive visitors to our websites ? Well, there are many ways, I shall discuss here a few of them. Let me know if you agree with me.
Submit articles to article directories with links to your website either in the body of the article or in the resource box as permitted by the Article Directory. If your article catches the reader’s interest, you bet he will click on your link.
Visit web forums in your niche regularly and post relevant comments. And as your name is automatically hyperlinked to your website, there’s every chance other visitors to the forum will check out your site.
Start a blog and post regularly on it with links to your website(s). Make your posts interesting, so that they will keep coming back.
Place the URLs of your website(s) under your signature when sending out emails.
There is every chance that the addressee will click on them.
Oh, the latest is to join social networking sites. These sites have millions of users and if you join and peddle your wares on them, you would be on your way to making your first million. Maybe I have exaggerated there a bit. But, all the same, believe me, you can cash in on the massive traffic that passes through these sites daily. An example of such a site is Twitter.
There are many more ways and I have just listed here a few which are not so difficult to implement. Finally, it is advisable for an aspiring internet marketer to read ebooks on website traffic.
